Objectives

The main objective of the COFA project is to develop comprehensive and sustainable reclamation solutions for degraded post-mining areas, transforming them into productive agricultural lands, improve soil quality, and contribute to carbon neutrality, while fostering local economic and social development.

To achieve this ambitious goal, the COFA project outlines four specific objectives:

  1. Enhancing stakeholder engagement and knowledge dissemination
  2. Exploring the potential of post-mining lands
  3. Establishing sustainable legal and social frameworks
  4. Developing tools for sustainable agriculture
